Guest Chris

Hey team,

This this christopher from Dublin and I would be traveling to Hyderabad from Delhi in the 1st week of April.

I have planned my visit to Goa after touring Hyderabad. I've been checking out a lot of forums and threads about these places and found out that April and May are not the Appropriate months to visit Goa because of the soaring temperatures in that region. Please suggest me if it is really so bad that I have to skip my travel to this place or Can I still proceed with the plan. Orels, Is there any other alternative to Goa during the same month for my schedule?

TIA

Regards

Christopher.

Temperatures will be very high during April and May it is better to avoid.
Up side, cheap accommodations, it is considered as off seasons on this month.

Temperatures are high across the South India.
North India(Himalayas) would be ideal to explore during summer.

Thanks a lot for being so prompt at your response. I am actually touring the full country starting tomorrow and Kasol and Kheerganga which are a part of my plan too. I've scheduled them to do in June.

April - Southern India,  May - North East and West, June - North and Fly back to Dublin.

Is there any other plan like Goa or is it the only place which hasn't got any replacement to it. If that's the case I wouldn't mind doing it as I may not come back to India again :)

We don't have replacement to Goa. :D
If you don't have any issues with heat. It is a must visit place.
Since it is off season, Accommodation prices are very nominal.

I have few question for you.

What is your mode of transport?
When are you planning to start from Hyderabad?

I would suggest you to add Hampi to your list.
Create a new post with your plan, we can help you with the information related to beautiful locations.

I make sure that I atleast do one good trip to Goa every year and you can imagine how well I love this place whenever I am in need of a break from my busy life...

I’ve been to Goa last weekend between 12th to 16th October - 2018 and apart from the regular places which I always visit, I’ve decided to explore the northern most part of Goa this time.

1) Mandrem

2) Arambol

3) Ashvem

Stay: Mandrem Village Resort ( On the shore)

Don’t mind me for the picture quality, all are clicked on my mobile 😃

Arambol, Ashvem and Mandrem are a few beautiful places in the North of Goa which are less crowded like the one's in the Southern part of Goa.

They are absolutely peaceful and not as commercialised as Anjuna, Baga and Calangute.

Surely a quality time is guaranteed.

Thanks for this wonderful share @teju b :)

Nice pictures @teju b.. The beaches in the pictures look so clean and deserted and that's the best part. Looks like an absolutely private beach. Such a bliss :)

The beaches infact were absolutely beautiful. Watching both sunrise and sunset on a deserted beach was a feast to eyes..

Arambol beach has a lot of shacks which are worthy to have a chilled out time.

I have experienced almost all of them in 3 days at Arambol. 😊

Beautiful pics @teju b but I am just wondering @sagar why does everyone keep missing out morjhim beach ?

Last time I went I felt that was the most peaceful beach with no nonsense folks .

beach was clean and plus point I got “chai” 😜 on the house ..

Baga, Candolim, Calangute and off late Vagator & Anjuna are also undergoing this spread of the so called non-sense crowd. and Morjim will be the next to get influenced.. It is all coz of the places getting fully commercialized and becoming a crowd puller... where as Mandrem has beach resorts on the shore and only they resort residents access this place more. Hence it's more like a deserted and a private one :) A little commercialized but fun place with decent crowd is Arambol which is to North of Mandrem. I feel, September 4th week to October and November 2nd week would be apt to enjoy these places in peace considering both weather and crowd. And beyond that time it get's crowded till January.

My personal favourite is Colva beach.
Completely away for the crowd and close to nature.

We took a boat from Colva beach and stayed in Butterfly island for a night.

Butterfly island has one of the cleanest beach.

Boat guy supplied us food and beverages.

We had great fun.

Recent update, My friend had been there to butterfly island on a boat and he found a shack over there. He was selling beverages and finger food over there..

I'm just hoping that this culture shouldn't spread more or go beyond that.. The best of what has been preserved by nature so far will be spoilt :|
