what's the ideal route to take from hyderabad to goa?

It is tough to get the ideal route to Goa, but let me try.

a) Choose this route as there is bridge repair is going between Mahbubnagar and Raichur. (should be completed according to the time line given by govt.)

b) If you are not sure if the repair is done, this is fastest route to visit Goa (North). There is some diversion near the bridge, If it is closed.

a)Route (2015):

Hyderabad ---> Parigi ---> Sedam ---> Gulbarga ---> Jewargi ---> Bijapur ---> Bagalkot ---> Belgaum ---> Chorla Ghat ---> Goa

b)Current Best Route (2016)

Hyderabad --> Raichur --> Gangavathi --> Hubli --> Dharward --> Belgavai --> Chorla --> Mapusa --> Goa

Ah, finally they have finished the bridge.

Good news for Hyderabad road trippers.

I think it took them around 4 months to complete, road looks great too.

Thank you for sharing the info vamshi and driveking.

They took ages to complete that raichur bridge.

It is the main connectivity between many small towns and villages.

Relief for Hyderabad to Goa commuters.

Good news. Finally bridge is completed.

When we went to Goa back in august it was finished, but not opened for people to use it.

we paid some amount to bridge managers and drove on it to the other side.

Guys any one recently did Hyderabad to Goa?

What is best route from Hyderabad to Goa?

My brother is planning to drive along with his family.
Don't want to take any surprise regarding the routes. He will be starting in the mid of April.

Any suggestions about the Hotels en-route?

Suggestions guys.

Kindly suggest which of the route is better to travel from Hyderabad to Goa. I am planning to go to Agonda next week.

1) Hyderabad -- Raichur -- Hubbali -- Goa (Agonda)

2) Hyderabad -- Bagalkot -- Goa (Agonda)

Please update me the latest road status on these routes and any other suggestions would be helpful?

TIA :)

Hyderabad - Raichur - Bagalkote - Belgaum - Goa is a better route compared to the other option you have mentioned. I would recommend you to take this route.

Latest route update between Hyderabad and Goa:

1) Hyderabad -- Parigi -- Sedam -- Kalaburagi -- Bijapur -- Bagalkote -- Belagavi -- Amboli -- Panjim

Phenomenal roads until Kalaburagi. After Kalaburagi, the roads are a little off due to some road construction works in progress. This road also has some bad speed bumps.

The Amboli ghat roads aren't great but has some brilliant scenic views especially the sunset enroute this ghat section.

2) Hyderabad -- JAdcherla -- Devarkadra -- Raichur -- Lingsugur -- Hungund -- Bagalkot -- Belagavi -- Chorla -- Pajim

Apart from bad stretch between Raichur and Mahbubnagar due to road construction work and bad speed bumps between Belagavi and Balagkote, The rest of the trip would be insanely fast due to newly laid roads. (Note: The road section between Devarakadra and Raichur also has some bad stretches due to road construction work in progress  )

I have done both the above route in the last week of April and would suggest you to take the Hyderabad - Raichur - Bagalkote - Goa route  which I found the best.

Take the other route Via Belagavi only if you want to enjoy the scenic ghat of Amboli enroute

It depends on which part of Goa you are planning to enter.

North Goa route is good compared to South Goa.

Let me know which area you are planning to visit.

Currently south Goa has very less activity due to summer heat, better to stay at North Goa.

Yeah, that is best route.

Each year a different route comes up on Google maps.

But Gangavati route never disappointed me.

When did you last drive this route?

Thank you for sharing.
