Lets do it in August?

First/Second week are good to go.

Please fix a date.
I know it is too early to plan.
But without fixing a date we will forget about it.

My question to all the members? If we can cover all the waterfalls in two/three days.

Where to start?
Where to stay?

On which date?

How many members willing to join?

Like you have mentioned, we will have to fix the dates first to see how many members would be available! August has a long weekend (Aug 15 combined with Planned Leaves I mean), most of them would have had planned it already if I am not wrong since it is hardly only a month away from now!

They look so beautiful in pics ... I really hope that they look the same in reality .. we being part of a humble nation tend to spoil anything that is beautiful with litter and trash ...lets see how they are once we go there ...

As sagar suggested, we will plan the drive as soon as we are back.

August 15th looks ideal for the drive.

But lets see, since many members would have planned some trip on the long weekend.

Evergreen County Team welcoming India - Drive Team:

Exploring the Resort, It is a treat to eyes and nestled in to Nature!

We have planned to explore Irupu falls after exploring the resort, we understood from the locals that there is a huge Tea Estate on our route to Irupu Falls, Couple of cars went ahead to check it out (Polo & Tiago) and we were the only one's to look at this beautiful View! We had to go back to the convoy with a bad news "Visitors are not allowed"

We continued our drive towards Irupu Falls, One should not miss this falls in Monsoon! Reach the falls, close your eyes and surrender yourself to the Mother Nature!! ❤️

We have reached back to the resort by the time light faded and gone for the Nature walk around the Resort and had a wonderful time with India Drive Members introducing themselves at the Camp Fire session followed by delicious Dinner at the Resort Restaurant (Secret Spices, Rest O cafe)!

After a Sumptuous Breakfast and an unforgettable Morning Coffee (Pictures Below) we checked out of the resort and headed towards our exploration drive towards Mandalpatti Peak (Heaven, I call this after exploring the place). We came across a Landslide en route Mandalpatti and we could not take our cars any further, for a moment it was a disappointment but that's when we got to know from the locals that we have to hire 4x4 vehicles to be able to reach Mandalpatti Peak. Without wasting any time, we parked our cars, hired those beasts and started enjoying some pure off roading fun and reached the Heaven!! We have spent considerable amount of time exploring the place with literally zero visibility and clicking pictures. We have reached the car parking location back by about 5 pm with a super Maggi break (Special Thanks to our Instant Chef Bhargav) and started our drive back too Mysore!

Like all the other Drives, we had to end this Drive too wishing if we could have continued it for another Infinite number of days!!

Aideu from Sridhar Tandra until next Drive Meet!!❤️❤️

      Hyderabad to Koilsagar photolog

      Hyderabad to Koilsagar best route?
Hyderabad to Koilsagar has multiple route options.

      Distance :
      140 kilometers from Gachibowli

      Best route:
      Hyderabad --> Jadhcharla --> Bhuthpur --> Devarkadra --> Koilsagar

Section between Bhuthput to Devarkadra will take you via village roads(narrow).
Drive cautiously. Many blind curves and bad roads.

Hyderabad to Bhutpur : Fantastic 4-lane
Bhutpur to Devarkandra : Village roads, few bad patches nothing alraming.
Devarkandra to Koilsagr : Roads are good!

      Food options at Koilsagar?
You wont even find a single food stall near the lake.
You can get some food from near by villages, but it is better to carry your own food/water.
Best option is to pack your food and drive down.
You can buy food at Hotel 97/Food plaza on NH44 highway before Bhutpur.

Offroad trail at koilsagar? Can small cars handle?
In order to enjoy the real beauty of Koilsagar, you need to drive down to the other side of the lake.
Trail is easy to drive, any car do it without any problem.
But during monsoon, it may get slippery, walk through the trail and judge the track before venturing.

      Koilsagar trail entrance?
Trail entry is present just before the village.
      Google maps :GPS
Once you reach the above given destination, you will find two water tanks on your right side.
There are two trails adjacent to the water tanks.
Take the trail which is beside the second water tank(road is much better)

Satellite view of the Koilsagar trail(not avialable in google maps )

      Best time to visit Koilsagar?
Koilsagar can be visited through out the year.
Avoid the trail, during the peak monsoon, most of the place is submerged in water.
Sunset/Sunrise is the best time to visit in a day.

      Hello fellow enthusiasts,

Recently I was on a road trip to Goa and enjoyed a lot. The hunger of being on road never ends, so with some long discussion with my better half and parents, we came on a decision to take a Road Trip to Bhutan. The plan is set, dates are fixed and I have started working on the itineraries. The chosen month is April, as very less time is left, I am turning to you guys to suggest me the required preparations for the trip. We would be four travellers, the vehicle would be Hyundai Xcent SX 2016 model with less than 10K on it. As it is my parent's car and is mostly driven by the driver, I'd be getting everything serviced. The trip would start from Jabalpur (M.P) to Thimphu (Bhutan) to Jabalpur (M.P). An approximate total of 3500Km, plus 300km miscellaneous. I have some questions and would really appreciate if get the answers from the experienced people of this forum.

      1. Best route?
      2. How many halts?
      3. How many days in Bhutan (West)?
      4. Luggage Carrier, would it be an issue for a sedan?
      5. Luggage Career Vs Roof Box, which is better?
      6. IceBox, is it required?

That's it for now, sure would have many more questions later.

      ~Sam
