I'm using cruise control on ORR, limting my self to 100 km/hr.

I'm not sure, how I am doing 108 km/hr.
Will cross verify my dash cam fotage, hope the video is not erased.

Speed limit : 105 km/hr and my speed : 108 km/hr

Fined 1400/- for 3km/hr extra? :o

It's been two months, hope the dash cam footage is not erased.

Any idea, how accurately speed cameras work?

My fines are pending from the past 1 year.
It is my daily commute.
Hope they will increase the buffer and erase few overspending challans.

All my challans are very close, it is always under +5 kilometers.

Did they increase the limit to 105 km/hr?

Hyderabad ORR toll update, multiple entry introduced.

Vidya jeevan shared the following information.

Between Orr started up and down ticket thing.

At the entry. Ask for up and down.

-Valid for how many hours?

-How is it possible?

We need to get down at designated exit?

-Yeah they started it , can use multiple times within 24 hours

-Pay at first exit full amount. . He'll give you token to use it for return.

-I've being doing it for the past 10 days.

Kumsi : Went on the ORR for the first time after 6 months.was used to gunning my car down at 140-150kmph every single time earlier.

But set it to cruise control at 95 kmph and went from rajendra nagar to patancheru.
My dad did not help by playing Ghantasala songs, almost fell asleep at the wheel out of boredom😅😅😜

-It is valid only at particular exit?

-For me, vijaywada exit to Bandlaguda (Sagar exit) is 20.

I pay 30 and take return token.Saving of 10 per day

Basically Speed guns works with the help of Radar that has the principle of Doppler effect.

Each speed gun has some frequency and that will match with the set speed limit (105kmph) against the targeted vehicle.

Save those pictures, they have great photography skills.
Wish they had high resolution cameras.

Long ques at Gachibowli exit, they had no intention to setup something like fast-tag?

The purpose of ORR is for fast commute, If they don't introduce electronic toll. It will be a mess in coming years.

According to the news shared by one of our member.
Hyderabad ORR has around 6 Speed Guns deployed at different locations.

Speed guns are active through out the week.

Drive safe and stay under the limit(100 km/hr).

Hyderbad ORR drives are not fun anymore.

Do you guys think 100km/hr speed limit is justified for a super good road.

What are the disadvantages if the speed limit is set to 120km/hr.

Hyderabad ORR to implement electronic collection

DSC_0931-01.jpeg

Key points:

  • Gachibowli to Shamshabad section will be implemented in the first phase
  • First phase will be in experimental stage for the next two months. (Gachibowli-Shamshabad 24 kilometers)
  • To utilize the services we need to procure the RFID tag
  • Tag will work on prepaid basis.
  • Service is will be active from November 27th (will be inaugurated by KTR)
  • Depending on the response, it will be extended to all sections (158 kilometers)

How to get RFID for Hyderabad ORR?
Initially around 1000 tags are imported from Hong Kong, tags will be issued after taking vehicle details.

Soon they are planning to tie up with few backs to recharge the RFID tags.

      Hello all,
This is my first post in the forum.
As my status suggest, i'm newbie here☺️
      My profile;
Total experience behind wheels: less than 1 year
Total kms traveled: below 8k (with only 1 long drive ~1600kms i.e; Hyd-Pune-Mumbai-Aurangabad-Nanded-Hyd in Sep 2017)
Car owned: Baleno petrol manual transmission.
Travellers: Me, better half, 2 kids (10Y, and 5Y)

Before posting as a new topic, i browsed all the topics for the topic to start.
My intention is to take expert tips from all expert guys like you.

Kindly bear with me if you find these queries childish, as i can't change stepney by myself!

      1. During ascending on ghat road (which i observed on Lonavala ghat road), i drive in 2nd gear. At the hair pin curve, applied full accelarotor, as i felt my vehicle may not move further. Scary experience. Is it normal?
Somebody suggest me to use 1st gear for those ascending hair pin curve...

      2. I have read lot of experience of driving in Wayanad. With my above experience can I hit the road? Planning this October holidays after getting 3rd service done.
My wife drive well if the roads are well mainatained like NH44.

      3. Does Nitrogen gas really helps for better maintenance of the tyres?

I will continue post my queries here in this forum, if i get some response as I believe in learning is continuous process until you die!
Note: I start exploring the forum very recently. Had i read all the post before my unplanned tour to Mumbai, i would never taken the route of NH65 especially from Omerga to Sholapur😩.

Thank you for your time and valuable inputs.
