  2. @sagar Koilsagar night camping was amazing. Awesome pics and breathtaking video. I have a couple of questions to ask: (1) The place where you camped look very clean. Have you guys cleaned it before camping? I recently went to the lake, but there seems to be lot garbage (broken glasses, stones, thorny twigs etc) present on the ground. Where is the exact place you guys camped? (2) Won’t it be an issue from the cops or the locals camping at nights? Please reply. TIA.

    KIA Cerato

Nice share @TDI, KIA Cerato is actually the competitor against Verna, City, Vento and Rapid. The pics shared above is an Indonesian version and an older model. The recent release in 2018 looks all new in design outside the hood.
  8. Hey guys, the slots are full as of now. Please add yourself to the waiting list so that, we shall pull you in to the confirmed list based on the priority order if there are any dropouts.

    Hyderabad to Kondaveedu Fort!

Thank you! Around 7:30 am, we took right turn at Narketpalli where a line of hotels present on roadside. Due to relentless fog, we had to stop and have our breakfast in one of those hotels. Food quality was not so good. After crossing Tipparthi, there is a nice hotel named Vividhi Restaurant. Though we didn't stop here, the hotel looks pretty decent. As we wanted to complete darshans at Mangalagiri and Kanuka Durga temples, we didn't scout for any hotels near Kondaveedu surroundings. We did our lunch at 1947 restaurant, 3-4 km from Kanuka Durga temple. It's a small restaurant but food was excellent.

Thankyou Satya .... We halted at Ananthapur for lunch and Dharmapuri for dinner.
  16. We (my son and me) went to Kondaveedu Fort on Jan 13, 2019, in our Baleno. It is approximately 275 km from Hyderabad, and drive time is around 5-1/2 hrs. Route: Hyderabad -> Narketpalli -> Narsaraopet -> Phirangapuram -> Kondaveedu Fort Short Note: Kondaveedu Fort is situated in a beautiful spread of Kondaveedu mountain ranges, located 1700 feet above the sea level and at a distance of 26 kms from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The fort being located on a hill top, the view from this place is awe inspiring. And driving through the newly-laid continuous hairpin bend (almost 20) ghat road is exhilarating to say the least. It is a shame that this beautiful place, once flourished as the capital of Reddy kings, could not fast become a tourist hotspot. It is only in recent years, tourists from across the state are thronging the place and enjoying the scenic beauty of the area. We started from Hyderabad at 5:30 am and reached the fort by 10:30 am. We drove to the top of the hill, spent some time, took some photographs, enjoyed beautiful view of natural scenery and returned back. Unfortunately, we could not get into the fort as renovation work was still going on. Later, we went to Mangalagiri and Kanuka Durga temples and returned back to Hyderabad same day by 7:15 pm. Total trip distance was 635 km. Since Kondaveedu Fort can be reached easily via road and has excellent roads, I would recommend going here for a picnic and returning on the same day. However, if you want to crash, put up in any hotel in Guntur. Although the roads have been maintained, there are not many options for food and drinks around the fort. However, presently renovation work is going on and no tourists are allowed to go to the top of the hill. We were fortunate enough to be allowed.

    Hyderabad to Sikkim road trip

,Day 3: Puri to Kharagpur Explored places around Puri and Konark. Personally, I had high expectations on Puri but the place is pretty average. If you want to enjoy the night life in Puri, only proper option is Lotus resort Konark(starting at 5.5k per day) Konark sun temple is a must visit, Pictures can't do justice to this place. Would rate it 5/5. It is unesco heritage site. No idol inside the temple, It is more about architecture and history. Cameras are allowed inside. Even though we have driven away from Phethai Cyclone path. Our average took a hit, Due to heavy rainfall and gusty winds. After crossing Puri, Sunset time is between 4:30PM - 5:00PM. Driving around 8PM feels like midnight. :) We couldn't reach Kolkata(as planned), We decided to stay in Kharagpur. Road condition : 4-lane (few two lane sections near Konark/Puri) Few diversions on highway. Overall road condition is good. Start time: 12 PM Reached: 9 PM Hotel : Green land towers Rating: 3/5 Cost: 3500/- ( not value for money) Very few hotel options in Khargpur, Better to avoid stay in Khargpur. Limited food options between Puri and Khargpur. Breakfast : OYO Gangotri Puri(3/5) Lunch : Sai Anand Bhubaneshwar (4/5 ) Dinner : Green land towers Khargpur(3/5) Plan was to drive down to Kolkata, Due to weather conditions and late night sleep, We decided to start in the mid day. We started drive towards Konark. Enroute to Konark, Beautiful roads. Beaches in Puri are over crowded, Around Konark, it is zero crowd. They are maintaining zero plastic policy at the beach, There is a team, who are picking up all the left over plastic. Pictures cant do justice to this place, Konark sun temple. You see this pictures on day to day basis. Any guess on which item? Architecture is mind boggling. Hiring a guide is a must, You will understand the story behind this place. As a road trip enthusiast we love wheels. Much needed picture of the day Cyclone effect is still present. Railings fell off the truck, And the restless auto driver got stuck on them. We took a u-turn and managed to get into the opposite lane. Reliance fuel stations are very reliable and has good washroom. Most of our highway fuel stopovers are at Reliance. Accommodation for the day at Karagpur.
